The Nagoya Festival features a grand historical parade (Emaki Gyoretsu) recreating the processions of the three great feudal lords born in Nagoya: Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu. Over 600 participants in period costumes march through the city center with floats and traditional performances.

Nagoya Castle offers free admission during the festival weekend. The parade route along Hisaya Odori is long, so you can find a good viewing spot even without arriving early.
