The Naniwa Yodogawa Fireworks Festival is Osaka's premier fireworks event, entirely funded by local volunteers and donations rather than public funds. In 2026, the festival moves to October due to the Osaka-Kansai Expo. The show features creative water-surface fireworks and massive wide-area Star Mines that span the Yodogawa River, drawing over 500,000 spectators to the riverbanks.
