The Sendai Pageant of Starlight is Tohoku's largest winter illumination, transforming Jozenji-dori Avenue's zelkova trees into a breathtaking tunnel of starlight with hundreds of thousands of LED lights. The nearby Kotodai Park features additional light displays and a temporary ice rink.

Tips for Visitors
The Starlight Wink re-illumination happens at set times each evening — check the schedule for the exact timing. Friday and Saturday evenings start earlier and are the most atmospheric. Combine with Sendai's famous gyutan (beef tongue) dining.
