Tenjin Matsuri is one of Japan's three great festivals and Osaka's most important summer celebration. The main events take place on July 24-25, culminating in the spectacular Funatogyo boat procession on the Okawa River and a grand fireworks display. Over 100 boats adorned with lanterns glide along the river, creating a breathtaking scene.

Access
5-minute walk from JR Osaka-Temmangu Station or Osaka Metro Minami-Morimachi Station. The boat procession is best viewed from Tenjinbashi Bridge area.
Tips for Visitors
The fireworks on July 25 are best viewed from the riverbanks near Sakuranomiya. Arrive by 5 PM to secure a good spot. Paid seating is available along the river for the boat procession.
